The Summer Reading Program is open to all youngsters who can read
on their own. This year's theme is "Pop Open a Good Book". Each participant will receive a
reading record, bookmark, and book bag. Assorted prizes will be awarded
throughout the summer. In addition, youngsters may join our Star
Readers by having their photo taken through our Star Photo Prop.
You may join at any time during the summer.
Arts & Crafts will be offered to youngsters ages 4 to 6 on
Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 pm. Sessions will be held July 8th,
15th, 22nd and 29th. Signup sheets will be in the Children's Room June
15th through
June 20th. Children must be committed to attending 3 dates. No telephone registrations accepted.
Handicrafts will be offered to youngsters ages 7 to 9 on Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 pm. Sessions will be held August 5th, 12th, and 19th. Signup sheets will be in the Children's Room June 15th through June 20th. Children must be committed to attending 2 dates. No telephone registrations accepted.
Every Other Tuesday Lunch Bunch meets 12 noon to 1:00 pm in the Library Community Room rain or shine! Ages 2 and up are welcome. Bring a bag lunch, drink and blanket. Enjoy stories, songs, prizes and movies. Dates are July 7th and 21st and August 4th and 18th. No registration required.
Fourth through sixth graders are invited to join Miss Joy at the
library
for a discussion group of this year's Nutmeg nominees.
Enrolled readers will meet on Tuesday afternoons at 4:00 pm July 7th,
14th, 21st and 28th and August 4th, 11th, and 18th. Sign up sheets are
