How to Download an Audiobook from NetLibrary

1. Set up an account

- Come into the library or call 222-2550 Monday-Friday from 9am-430pm.

2.  Search for, check out and download audiobooks using the One-Click Audio NetLibrary Media Center

- First time users: click on the link above or on our Online Catalog page.  Enter your user name and password.  Click on “Install Media Center”.  Click “Run” and follow the installation prompts.  This will install the Media Center to your desktop.  This could take up to 45 minutes if your computer operating system has not been updated.

- Launch Media Center from desktop. Log in your user name and password.

- Use “Browse” and “Search” tabs to define your search.

- Click “Transfer to Computer” to listen on your computer.

- Connect your portable device to computer and click “Transfer to Portable” to listen on your portable device.

3.  Search for, check out and download audiobooks manually using Windows Media Player

- You must have Microsoft Windows Media Player version 9.0 or above installed on your computer.

- Click on the link above or on our Online Catalog page.  Enter user name and password.

- Select title and click on “Download this Audiobook”.

- Select  download option: CD quality if you want to transfer audiobook from PC to portable device or  Radio quality for fast download to listen on your PC.

- Save file to your computer.

- Open file after download is complete.

- Enter user name and password.

- Transfer to portable device.

4.  For iPOD users:

- You must have iTunes installed on your computer.

- Using Netlibrary Media Center choose MP3 format for available iPOD titles.

- Follow steps in #2 above.

5.  To Renew

- Renewals must be done before due date.

- Open Media Center.  Click on “My Stuff” then “Check Out Items”.

- Loan period is 3 weeks.
