Volunteering Opportunities @ the Ridgefield Library

Following is a list of current volunteering opportunities at the Ridgefield Library.

Community Service Volunteering

Need to log some community service hours for school, church or synagogue, Scouts or another club or resume for college?  Get on the list to help out with shelving, mailings, special events and whatever else comes up.  Scheduling varies based on the project. Individual longer-term special projects also may be arranged.  Contact Assistant Director Mary Rindfleisch at 203-438-2282 x1009 or MFRind@ridgefieldlibrary.org.

Homebound Delivery Service

The Library has launched a new service to supply library materials directly to those unable to come to the Library on their own due to health or mobility problems.  Drivers are needed to make deliveries and pickups on a pre-arranged schedule.  For more information, contact Assistant Director Mary Rindfleisch at 203-438-2282 x1009 or MFRind@ridgefieldlibrary.org.

Friends of the Library

The Friends is an independent volunteer organization that organizes book sales and other activities to raise funds to support Library programs and services.  Volunteers are always needed to help out the weeks of the spring and fall used book sales, to sort incoming donated books on an ongoing basis, and to research and process items for our new Internet book sales operation.  Call Book Sale Chair Joan Laspia at 203-431-8766 or Volunteer Scheduling Coordinator Valerie Grayson at 203-431-9620.
