children). Connecticut's only zoo with over 300 animals representing 125

for American Indian Studies (Washington, CT) -- Free admission for one

Mattatuck Museum (Waterbury, CT)

No Child Left Inside (State wide) Through a
partnership between the Connecticut Library Consortium and the Connecticut
Department of Environmental Protection, public libraries across the
state have a Connecticut State Park & Forest day pass available for
patrons. Library patrons may borrow the pass and use it for free parking at the
major state parks where parking fees are charged. The pass is also good for
admission to any museum located at a state park.
Those planning to visit a state park or forest
will also be able to borrow a copy of the book, The Shared Landscape: A Guide &
History of Connecticut’s State Parks and Forests. DEP is purchasing a copy of
the book for every library.
Peabody
Museum of Natural History (New Haven, CT) -- Free admission for any four
people (one adult must accompany children under 16). Dinosaurs, dioramas
and exhibits relating to anthropology, geology and other natural sciences.
