Celebrate Teen Tech Week March 4-10
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ancient
Technology
is the theme of our special display in the YA Corner during the
first-ever celebration of Teen Tech
Week, sponsored by the American Library Association. If you
can remember the featured Newton personal digital assistant (1993) or
the TI-99 4A personal computer (1982), you're showing your age,
technology-wise!
There
are also online contests, blogs, podcasts and even Teen Tech Week events
in Second Life, so check the link below for the latest.
leading journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the
physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts,
theology, literature and other subjects, Academic OneFile is both
authoritative and comprehensive. With millions of articles available in
both PDF and HTML full-text with no restrictions, researchers are able
to find accurate information quickly. Includes full-text coverage of the
New York Times back to 1995. Updated daily.
Drawing on a wide variety of the most highly regarded legal
publications, LegalTrac®
reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals and international
legal journals. Each title included in LegalTrac® is selected on the
basis of criteria provided by a special advisory committee of the
American Association of Law Libraries. LegalTrac® also contains
law-related articles from over 1,000 additional business and general
interest titles.
Academic OneFile and LegalTrac are just two of the dozens of databases
available free of charge to all Connecticut library card holders through
iCONN, the Connecticut Digital Library. All you need to access these
resources 24/7 is your library card, so try it today.
