On Thursday, July 17 at 5 PM, children are invited to the Oxford Public Library to enjoy a visit from Dr. BugMan. Children will meet real-live insects and reptiles during this free program. Registration is required. 

On Monday, June 21 at 5:30 PM, the Oxford Public Library will host “Bugs and Moose Out on the Loose” with singer Tom Sieling. Sing along to humorous songs about our natural world during this free family program. Registration is required. 

On Friday, July 18, children are invited to the Oxford Public Library to celebrate Chalk Day, a free all-day event. Have summer fun outside the library with chalk, bubbles, and a parachute to play with. Rain date: Friday, July 25.

 Now through August 6, children ages 4-12 who visit the Oxford Public Library have the chance to receive a complimentary ticket to a New Britain Rock Cats baseball game. Each child will receive a ticket after telling a librarian about a favorite book that he or she read this summer. At All Ages Storytime on Tuesday, July 22, children can meet Rocky, the Rock Cats’ mascot. No registration is required for this free program.

Build A Monster - This site, with hardly any text, teaches kids to use a mouse while creating a not so scary monster.

Children's Storybooks On-line - Original stories with animated illustrations and simple descriptions young children will understand. Story titles include The Farm Animals and Buzzy Bee.

Crayola Creativity Center - play games, get craft ideas, send or print and color cards, learn color facts and do color experiments, get coloring and activity pages.

The World of Curious George - Have fun with everybody's favorite curious monkey! The site features an on-line mini adventure for kids to follow.

 

Disney.com The Web Site for Families - The official web site for all Disney activities. The Kids page features activities for kids to do such as coloring pages, games, etc. using various Disney Characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, etc. Elementary age children will also enjoy the activities found here.

IKnowThat.com - a fun learning website for kids from preschool to 6th grade. Have games and activities per grade level per subject with teacher’s guides too.

Kendra's Coloring Book - An easy to use coloring page with simple pictures that can be printed out for coloring or painted right on the computer page.

Mary Lou Pickle - through games and activities and music teaches children to respect people, animals and the world.

Mother Goose Rebus Rhymes - A site designed for children who are learning to read. Kids will enjoy picking out the words they can read in their favorite nursery rhymes.

Sesame Street Central - This site features the popular Sesame Street characters in simple online storybooks that are fun to read. It also contains lots of web pages especially designed to print out and color.

Seussville - The Seuss characters welcome kids to Seussville, Dr. Seuss's playground in Cyberspace. You can play games, chat with The Cat in the Hat, and do much, much more!
