The Friends of the Library in Oxford Holiday Bazaar
 

The Friends hosted its first Holiday Shopping Bazaar on Dec. 8th.  About 100 people attended. Everyone involved, from vendors to attendees to the volunteers who set up the tables and sold tickets agreed the event was a success. In fact, additional leads that will allow an even larger vendor selection next year came forward throughout the event asking to be included. Those vendors who did participate, including products as diverse as Pampered Chef, Lia Sophia jewelry and Tomboy Tools, expressed satisfaction with sales and enthusiasm for participating next year.

Most importantly, the many people who came out and supported the Friends, as they so often do, had a great time. They took care of some of their holiday shopping without fighting the mall crowd, entered their tickets to win prizes and had a great time with friends and neighbors. Like all the best fundraisers and events, it was a win-win situation for everyone who participated. It was a great time, made possible by the support of the entire community as all the Friend’s events are.
