Using figures provided to the Connecticut State Library for 2006-2007 and the FY2006-07 Library Budget, the total value of the library may be calculated.

With a 2006 estimated population of 29,422, New Milford tax payers invested $33.23 per capita in the library. The return on that investment was $190.99 per capita.
