The Children's Library invites children aged 4 and up to a day of Froggy Fun, on Saturday, May, 2, at 2:00 PM. Listen to stories, make crafts and watch movies during this free program. Registration in the Children's Library is required.
The Sunday Family Program in the Children's Library will feature The Airborne Jazz Trio, from New Haven, on Sunday, May 4, at 2:00 PM. Families with elementary age children can join the entertainment as the trio performs high energy contemporary jazz as well as some old favorites. Jazz education is very vital for our newer generations, teaching thoughts of imagination, personal expression, and self discipline to help them achieve whatever goals they dream. This free program is sponsored by The FRIENDS of New Milford Library. Registration is required. Stop by or call the Children's Library to register.
The library is hosting Connecticut Country, an exhibit of photographs by New Milford resident Richard Andrews, through May 31. The exhibit will be on view during regular library hours.
View foreign films and discuss them during Monday Movies at NMPL. This free series takes piece at the library the second Monday of every month at 2:00 PM, in Memorial Hall. This month's program meets on May 12 and will feature Behind the Sun. The film is rated PS-13 and runs 92 minutes. Light refreshments and discussion will follow the presentation.
New Milford Library invites 6th, 7th and 8th graders to join the Young Adult Council. The next meeting will take place at the library on Wednesday, May 14, at 6:30 PM. For more information, call the Children's Library at 860 355-1191 x204.
The Senior Center Isn't Just For Bingo! New Milford Public Library and the Senior Center will present a seminar on Monday, May 19, at 6:30 PM in Memorial Hall at New Milford Public Library, 24 Main Street. Lorraine Kelly and Nancy Lindoerfer, counselors at the Senior Center, will provide information on the services that they provide to caregivers as well as Seniors. Caring for someone long distance? Need a driver? Need assistance dealing with medical insurance issues, including Medicare Part D? These are all questions they answer every day.
