PROGRAM SCHEDULE for Summer 2010

 

Monday            10:30 – 11:30 AM          Preschool Story and Film Time with Mrs. Thompson.

                                                            No registration necessary.  July 12 – Aug. 9.  5 weeks. 

                                                           

Thursday          10:30 AM – 12:00 PM    Reading and Viewing** for children coming OUT of 3rd and 4th grades.

                                                            Registration required for this program.* July 8 – 29.  4 weeks.

Tuesday           10:30 – 11:30 AM          4-H Fun with the folks from Litchfield County Extension Service.
                                                            June 29 – July 20.   K – 5th grades.   4  weeks.

                         2:00 – 3:00 PM             Creative Writing for children in grades 3 – 5.  This is a group for children who

enjoy writing and playing with words.  Registration required for this program* July 8 – 29.  4 weeks.

 

                        3:15 – 4:15 PM              Reading and Viewing** for children coming OUT of 1st and 2nd grades.

                                                            Registration required for this program.* July 8 – 29.  4 weeks.

 

*Registration for programs starts Monday, June 21 at 10:00 AM.

** READING AND VIEWING (with Mrs. Ford) – Read great books and then watch the video/film based on them.

Wed., June 23 2:00 - 4:00 PM              Young People’s Book Swap For each usable book brought into the Children’s Library during regular library hours up through June 23, participants will receive a coupon good for one book at the swap. You must be here during swap hours to redeem your coupons. (No registration required).

 

Friday, July 9 at 2:00 PM                     NANCY TUCKER in Concert*** (Family Music Program) Registration required.

 

Tuesday, July 13 at 2:00 PM                 BUBBLE TECHNOLOGY*** Jonah from the Children’s Museum will present a hands-on workshop featuring bubbles. (Coming out of K – 8th grades) Registration required. (Repeat workshops at 3:00 PM & 4:00 PM)

 

Wed., July 14 at 10:30 AM                    CRAFT FUN with Mrs. Ford. Registration required. (Ages 4 – 8)

 

Friday, July 16 at 10:30 AM                 BEACH PARTY with Mrs. Ford. (4 – 8 year olds) Stories, crafts & fun! Registration required.

 

Tuesday, July 20 at 2:00 PM                KAREN ROMANO YOUNG***   Author of “Across the Wide Ocean ”. Elementary ages up.
