Dear Peggy,
Library pen and ink drawing
Well, summer is upon us and that means all kinds of excitement here at the library. So read on and see what is happening!
Letter from the Director by Carl DeMilia

May Mystery Month has just ended! The entire month was packed with programming celebrating the mystery. The library offered programs for every age group and interest. There were films and writing contests. We hosted several authors with a variety of experiences who spoke to enthusiastic audiences about the process and business of writing and getting published. Best selling author Steve Berry gave a wonderful program. Programs about Connecticut's Leather Man and the mysteries of Moon Rocks were held. Two murder mysteries, one for teens and one for adults, offered a fun change of pace for patrons and staff alike.

pic3Wow!  What a great time we all had this past month!  There really was something for everyone, from the children's Stuffed Animal Sleepover Party, to the teens' Mystery Writing Contest, to the Murder Mystery Party and the Steve Berry program presented by the FRIENDS.

We've had people email us, tell us in person, and comment on Facebook about their excitement at the variety of programs they enjoyed, as well as several people who are new to using the Library and will now be regular patrons.

Hope you all had as much fun as we did!
