Step
1: Connect to NetLibrary
• Click this link here
or at the end of these directions.
• Enter your 14-digit Library barcode number with no spaces
between the numbers.
Step 2: Create your NetLibrary Account
Set up a Netlibrary account. Do this
by clicking on the "Create a Free Account" link in the upper
right hand corner of the page and fill out the account information.
Step 3: Find and Download an Audiobook
Use NetLibrary's Basic or Advanced Search Tools to browse a specific
audiobook to download or browse the various genre on the right side
of the screen. Choose CD or Radio quality.
• CD quality offers high-fidelity playback for patrons with
high-speed Internet access. You must download CD quality if you plan
to transfer the file to a portable media player.
• Radio quality provides smaller files with shorter download
times, but cannot be transferred to a portable media player.
Step 4: Specify how you want to download
the file:
• Save the audiobook file on your personal computer in a directory
of your choice. Note: Netlibrary highly
recommends this option.
OR
• Open the audiobook file on your personal computer in a Temporary
directory. It can be difficult to find audiobook files using this
method.
Step 5: Acquire a License
When you play the file for the first time, you will be re-connected
to NetLibrary to acquire a license. Login with your NetLibrary account
information. The license will be downloaded automatically and playback
will begin. Each downloaded audiobook will require its own license.
Note:
You will need windows Media Player 9 or higher to play the audio files.
Anything lower will cause a license error to occur.
Step 6: CLICK HERE TO GET STARTED
The file is active for 21 days and may be renewed once for 21 additional
days if more time is needed.
After the check
out period, the license will expire.
You may check out up to 10 books at one time.
