Institute and Museum of Puppetry

Friday, Saturday, & Sunday noon to 5:00 PM. Suggested donation
is Adults $5, Children/Students/Seniors $4. The Museum is located
off Route 44 between Routes 32 and 195; take Weaver road and follow
the signs. New exhibits will begin March 21.
Community School of the Arts

private instruction on all instruments and voice, a comprehensive
Suzuki Program, chamber music and ensembles, Early Childhood Music,
dance, and musical theater, CSA sponsors classes in the visual arts
including pottery, painting and drawing, and sculpture.
CT State Museum of Natural History
486-4460/cac.uconn.edu. Hours are Wednesday through Friday, 10 am
- 4 pm; closed Saturday through Tuesday. Admission is free; donations
are appreciated. The permanent exhibit, Human’s Nature: Looking
Closer at the Relationships between People and the Environment,
is a series of short multi-media presentations, offering perspectives
on the connection between our natural history and our cultural history.
Husky Heritage Sports Museum

are Monday through Friday, 8 – 5. The museum presents remarkable
images & stories of UConn's winning teams, determined coaches
& gifted student-athletes.
Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department
429-3015/mansfieldct.org. Located in the Mansfield Community Center
at 10 South Eagleville Road, many classes, programs and activities
are available for young children. You may register for programs online,
and the full Winter 2010 Catalog is now available in PDF format. Fee
waivers are available for Mansfield residents.
Mansfield Public Library

children: Family Story time (all ages, with caregiver), every Saturday
10:30-11:30am, and Wonderful Wednesdays (all ages, with caregiver)
from 10:30-11:30am, every Wednesday in March and April 7, and 14.

Storrs Farmers Market
storrsfarmers.org. The Market heads indoors during the winter from
3 – 5 in the Buchanan Auditorium, adjacent to the Mansfield
Public Library. The Winter Market features a wide variety of items,
including apples, pears, cabbage, winter squash, greens, onions, and
potatoes. Local honey, maple syrup, goat’s milk cheeses, fresh
baked goods, beef, and eggs are available year-round. The market will
be held Mar 13 and Mar 27, then Apr 10 and Apr 24 before heading outdoors
again.
UConn Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Greenhouses
486-4052/eeb.uconn.edu. A huge collection of live plants from all
over the world is open to the public: Mon.- Fri., 8am-4pm.
William Benton Museum of Art 486-1705/benton.uconn.edu Gallery hours
are Thursday & Friday, 10 am–4:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday,
1–4:30 pm. Please note that the Benton is closed March 8 –
12. Call or check the website for exhibits that might be of interest
to and appropriate for children.
