and Medicinal Gardens
Friday Evening
September 19, 2008 at 7:00
Our
guest speaker Debra Hultgren a practicing herbalist and gardener
will discuss both wild and cultivated herbs that can be grown
in backyard gardens. This will include a discussion of local
plants (sometimes considered weeds) that have medicinal value
as well
as culinary
herbs that also can be used in healing. The presentation will
include slides of plants and some examples of simple homemade
herbal preparations. Debra will bring example plants and demonstrate
how they can be used. This program will take place in the Buchanan
Auditorium and is free of charge and open to the community.
