2008 Summer Reading Program
"Don't Bug Me...I'm Reading"
July 7 - August 13

Have a little time on your hands?  Stop in and pick up a game card and play our summer reading game just for teens.  You decide what books to read, what (easy) activities to do and how many prizes you want to win.  The more you do, the more prizes you win!  We have LOTS of new books this summer so make sure you look at our "new book" cart.  The YA summer reading game is open to grades 7-12.

"I CAN'T KNIT"
Wednesday, July 23
10:00 - 11:00 am

Always wanted to learn how to knit?  This is your chance!  We have a knitting instructor coming to teach you how to knit.  We'll supply the needles and yarn, you supply the hands.  Space is limited to six students so sign up quickly.  We'll take registrations through Tuesday, July 22nd.  This program is open to students in grades 7-12.

Young Adult Advisory Board

Like to read?  Always wanted to know how a library works?  Looking for a way to give back to your community?
Maybe the YA advisory board is the place for you.
We'll be reorganizing our group this year and changing the focus a little bit.
We'll be doing some reading, requiring more volunteer hours and support for your young adult area but we'll need your help!

If you're interested in becoming a board member we'll have applications for the YA board in mid-August.
Stop at the main circulation desk after August 15th to pick up your application.
Interviews will be in September and our first meeting will be in October.

More info about the young adult advisory board can be found on the CELTs page.  Click here to visit!

Yippee!  We've expanded!  Check out our new HUUUUUGE YA area.  We've put in some comfortable chairs, a coffee table and even a checkers game for you to enjoy.  Not to mention LOTS of new books!  Stop by and sit a spell - we think you'll like it.
