Services Provided
Best Sellers
The Library purchases most
titles on the New York Times best-seller list.
Book Drop
A book deposit box is located
outside the front entrance to the Library, for returning books when the Library
is closed. Videos, DVDs, and CDs must be returned inside the Library to
avoid damage.
Interlibrary Loan
If the Library does not have
the book that you are looking for, we can, in most cases,
find another library that does and have it sent to our Library for you to
borrow.
PAC, Public Access
Catalog
The Library's card catalog is
available in computer/electronic format
as well as standard format. Our computer catalog allows access to local,
regional, statewide,
and out-of-state databases, as well as electronic magazine indexes. The
PAC can be accessed

Computers for Use
The Library has three
computers available for public use, which have Internet
access and Microsoft Office that features Word, Excel and Power Point.
Print-outs are available for $.10 per page.
Fax Service
Patrons may fax information to
other locations for a charge of $1.00 per page.
For International Faxes, the charge is $4.00 for the first page and $2.00
for each additional page. There is no charge to receive a fax.
This service is provided by the
Librarian on duty.
Photocopying
A copy machine is available
for the public to use.
The fee for copying is $.10 per page.
Books-on-Tape
Audio Books-on-Tape and
Books-on-CD are
available for a two-week (Books-on-Tape)
and four-week (Books-on-CD) period and are renewable.
Videos & DVDs
Videos and DVDs are available
for patrons to borrow. These circulate for three days,
with a limit of four per Library Card.
CDs
The Ansonia Library has a wide
variety of music CDs, which include
Country, Jazz, R&B, Rock, and more. CDs circulate for two weeks.
Community Meeting Room
The Jean Whalen Room is
available for use by local nonprofit groups free of charge.
To reserve the room, please call the Library Director.
Museum Passes
The Ansonia Library has passes
to Mystic Aquarium, P.T. Barnum Museum, Beardsley Zoo, Wadsworth Antheneum,
and CT State Parks and Forests available for patrons to use.
Patrons must leave a $10.00 deposit and their valid Library Card.
Patrons are permitted to check out one pass at a time.
Spanish Language Books
The Library has a collection
of Spanish-language books available for circulation.
Wi-Fi Access
The Ansonia Library has Wi-Fi
access available for use. One would need their
library card to log-in.
